Pupil Premium

The school’s allocation for the pupil premium is £71,900

The Pupil Premium and Year 7 Catch Up premium 2012-2013 is being used to:

To narrow the gap for CLA & FSM pupils  to less than 5% compared to other pupils for the target 5+ A* to C (including Eng and Maths) at GCSE". 

Maintain excellent levels of attendance (96%)

Improve engagement of CLA pupils through effective responses to PEP.

To review and fully develop inclusive reward system.

Develop strategies to improve communication with parents.

Improve pupil aspiration.

 

The fund is used to:

  • Employ teaching assistants to support pupils working below level 4 in English and Maths (both in class and small group withdrawal).
  • Provide 1:1 tuition and intervention for KS4 pupils.
  • Develop the school opportunities for reading and improving literacy through ECLIPSE virtual library.
  • Ensure weekly monitoring and intervention of attendance by EWO
  • Provide counselling service for vulnerable pupils
  • Train support staff to deliver surviving teenagers courses to parents.
  • Support the individual educational needs of CLA- 1:1 tuition, music lessons, and IT equipment.
