Audenshaw have long held an incredible reputation for sport across the North West and the current academic year saw many great accolades acquired by our teams. In Rugby Union, the U14's reached the RFU Lancashire Schools Cup Final for the fourth time in our history and the U16's were the inaugural winners of the Lancashire Vase. The U13's were plate finalists and Mr Brooks's U15's claimed the Y10 Vase to complete an outstanding campaign. In 7's, the U12 team, coached by Mr Leach reached the final of the annual Brian Bason event and our U14's under Mr Rose were Cup Semi Finalists at Kirkham Grammar. In swimming the Senior Boys were double silver medal winners at the North West Regional Championships and were beaten on only one occasion in inter school competition. Mr Rose, who leaves Audenshaw School after 12 years to take up the role of Director of Rugby at Hill House School, Doncaster, won the Inspire Award for Outstanding Contribution to PE and Sport over his time in the district.
