On Friday 18 October, eleven Year 8 and 9 students attended the Gifted and Talented Study Day at King’s School, Chester. This event was an excellent opportunity for the boys to take part in a number of discussions and debates with students from a wide range of other schools. The students explored many different topics including ethics, religion and justice, making links to ideas that our students have been exploring in their Religious Education lessons in school. The presentations were engaging and really challenged the perceptions of our students and also the staff who were supervising them!
The students also had the chance to stand up in front of the audience of around 200 to share their own ideas and contribute to the debate. Our students relished this opportunity, demonstrating the qualities that make them stand out as exceptional young men.
