Year 8s Pack A Bag For Christies

By Miss Kelly.
On 23rd and 24th January 31 pupils from Audenshaw – 26 from Year 8, 4 from Year 9 and 1 from Year 7 – volunteered to pack bags at Morrisons to raise money for Christies. Each of the boys involved spent between 4 – 6 hours at the supermarket, with a number volunteering for both days.

Staff and customers at Morrsions commented on how helpful and polite the pupils were and over the 2 days they raised a total of £2,718.00. Christies are delighted with this sum and have purchased a lung board in our name. They have also offered to show a small number of pupils around Christies so that they can see what their hard work has achieved (date to be arranged). Carol Atkin at Christies, who arranges these events, was delighted with the response.
