The funeral took place on Tuesday 6th July of Lance Corporal Andrew Breeze of the 1st Mercian (Cheshire) Regiment.
Andrew was a pupil at Audenshaw School from 1989 to 1994.
He was killed in action in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on Saturday 12th June 2010.
In tribute to Andrew, school prefects formed a guard of honour as the cortege passed the school along Stamford Road.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very sad time.
