Old Aldwinians
2007 marks the seventy fifth anniversary of the school. The school was officially opened on Saturday 23rd July 1932 by County Alderman J. T. Travis Clegg D.L.J.P.
On September 13th, 1932, 76 boys were admitted to Audenshaw Grammar School, on its current site in Hazel Street, Audenshaw.
The school intends to celebrate its 75th Anniversary with a number of events and we should be delighted to hear from Old Aldwinians who would like to attend the series of events to mark the anniversary.
Details of the celebrations will be posted on the news section of the website after Christmas.
Old boys of the school may be interested to know that a history of the school has been published by Father Brian Bason, (Audenshaw Grammar School 1938-1944) who taught at the school from 1973 to 1997.
It is available from the school on request.
