Year 10 visited the UK University search event today at Old Trafford, no shortage of pens and bucket hats. We hope they also got a glimpse into their own future potential.
Well done to Toby P in Year 7 who won the first Maths Challenge competition this year 🙂
This half term we took some of our year 9 pupils to the KPMG offices in Manchester to explore different career routes into business and finance. They took part in interactive workshops and met professionals from different parts of the business
Some of our Year 7 pupils went to Jodrell Bank on a STEM trip in February. The pupils got to explore the wonders of space, took part in interactive workshops, explored the exhibition areas and enjoyed hand on activities
Year 10 went to Ashton Sixth Form College in January on a Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Sciences trip to explore the career paths into these areas. The boys also got to participate in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology lessons
Year 7 have celebrated their Zero Heros this week! These boys consistently demonstrate our school values of RESPECT, RESILIENCE and RESPONSIBILITY. We`re proud to have you at Audenshaw.
We’re already half way through our rehearsals for this year’s school musical! This year we have TWO spectacular casts to entertain you, with the wonderfully whacky Addams Family 🧟♀️
Yesterday was all about the future! 🚀 Some of our Year 10 students visited Manchester Central for the massive JD UP careers exhibition.
From testing out HGV simulators and DJ booths to chatting with pros from Nike and adidas, our students got a front-row seat to the world of global retail. With 28 different departments on show—including tech, law, and design—it was the perfect day to spark some serious career inspo. ✨
Huge thanks to the JD Group for hosting such an interactive and high-energy event!

Wishing our whole community a very Happy Lunar New Year 🧧✨
Although we’re now on half term, we celebrated together last week with delicious Chinese dishes at lunch and festive decorations in the canteen.
Students enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and marking the Year of the Horse together. 🐎🎉
Last week, our Year 10 GCSE Drama students attended a residential in Anglesey! They took part in an array of workshops, teaching them new skills they can now use in their upcoming practical exams.
Last week, we launched `Go All In` in our school assemblies and form time. We have launched a competition created especially for the National Year of Reading called `6 in 2026`. Pupils are invited to take part in library and literacy competitions/initiatives all year round as part of our existing offer with a chance of winning prizes. This year pupils who complete 6 things in our 6 in 2026 competition could also win further prizes such as Kindles, vouchers, chocolates etc!
Our boys are being asked to `Go All In` and `read into it`. Pupils can use one of our slips and put it in the suggestion box to make sure our library caters for their hobbies and interests. One of the things that the boys can do this week for `6 in 2026` is take part in the National Storytelling Week competition collecting information from staff posters. Front-facing books relating to the week`s theme have been put up in the library and a powerpoint has been shared with forms!
Keep your eyes open for events at your local Tameside library, who will be holding events to help you `Go All In`! #GoAllIn2026 #NationalYearOfReading2026 #tamesidelibraries
Thank you to @hive_north who visited Audenshaw today to deliver the powerful Outloud show to year 8. The thought provoking show focuses on the LGBTQ+ community, anti-bullying, and understanding how our attitude can impact others.
